FRAME MAGAZINE GOES DIGITAL

by Matt Chapman

Frame Digital

Save a few trees AND dollars with Frame’s new digital version of their outstanding interior design magazine. Supposedly, Frame Digital will be just like their always inspiring, and often eco-minded print version, but with a few more features. They are offering a preview now, and if you give them three email addresses, they’ll give you the first issue free.

After a short test drive, the interface does have nice ways of zooming into featured content and navigating without devolving into flash solipsism. The verdict is still out on whether or not the added functionality is more or less useful than the standard magazine format. We would love to hear your take on that. We will say, though, that although half the price of the newstand version, 10 euros does seem rather steep for a digital magazine subscription.

I can’t even find FRAME in hardcopy over here in Vermont, so I’m delighted to find the online version. Will let you know about the return on investment over time. Thanks for the info.
